Trout Unlimited South Coast Chapter (SCTU) and South Coast Water District (SCWD) hosted a Public Workshop on the San Juan Creek Estuary, Wednesday June 21, 2023 at the Dana Hills Tennis Center, 24911 Calle De Tenis, Dana Point, CA 92629, 3:00-5:00 PM.

Project Background
The Trout Unlimited South Coast Chapter (SCTU) has proposed an initial work stage for the San Juan Creek Estuary Restoration Project. South Coast Water District supports the identification of restoration opportunities within San Juan Creek Watershed.

Opportunities for restoration: San Juan Creek
SCTU is committed to leading the discussion of restoration. Our goal for this initial process is to convene a workshop with interested stakeholders focused on restoring the health of San Juan Creek Estuary.

What are the project Goals?
  • Improve habitat for native fish, wildlife and plants
  • Collect and review existing environmental documents
  • Reach out to stakeholders
  • Discuss opportunities and constraints for potential restoration actions
  • Host a Project Workshop with interested stakeholders
