Learn to fish. In Los Angeles, we have the opportunity to fish in our backyard at the Los Angeles River. Our current workshop focuses on creating community and broadening access to fishing. Kids and their parents will learn about conservation, catch and release and well as the basics of getting started in fishing. Each registered participant receives a free rod, reel and tackle. By the end of the workshop everyone will have the knowledge and skills to fish anytime during the river's open season, which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
